Thickness 5.5 cm. The traditional Japanese tatami, handmade, made with the ancient technique of Japanese craftsmen. We start by creating a core of rice fibers, naturally kiln-dried and compressed to the specific standards of the Japanese Agricultural Society and the United States Department of Agriculture. This core is covered with a silky, smooth surface, made of premium fibers, under high pressure, tightly woven and sewn with multiple lines of thread, to provide the exact tension needed for comfortable support and restful sleep. Made from renewable resources, tatami mats are environmentally friendly and durable enough to last up to 20 years with proper care. You will be happy to retire to them at night and you will be proud to offer them to your guests!

CARE: All tatami mats should be kept dry to prevent mold/mildew. We recommend that you wipe your tatami mat only with a slightly damp cloth and without harsh cleaning solutions or a broom along the weave of the tatami mat. Going against the weaving direction may damage the tatami mat or push dirt into it. When using the vacuum cleaner, make sure you select the weakest setting.

Tatami mats are sensitive to moisture, make sure there is some circulation either above or below. We recommend cleaning and airing the tatami every now and then. Dry and sunny days are best for airing tatami mats.

The Transportation (outside Athens) includes the transportation of the furniture to the headquarters of the Transport Company (CITY) or to your headquarters only when this is possible - due to distance, from their Warehouse. In places that are far from the City-Headquarters of the Transport Company, the collection is done by the Customer with his own means, from the headquarters of the Transport Company. Or by New Agreement with the Transport Company - if this is possible.

The Transport Company delivers to your ENTRANCE-sidewalk and is not required to go up floors or enter courtyards, etc.
Anything else can only be agreed between the Customer and the Carrier, at your own risk or cost.
You can also specify your own shipping company (at your own expense) and we will deliver your order to their warehouse in Athens, free of charge. In this case, select "Pickup from our headquarters" when you submit your order.
