2015 marked the beginning of the collaboration between Studio Carlesi Design and Noctis. Specifically, on November 9th of that year — during a meeting where President Piero Priori enthusiastically accepted the presented designs — the idea for Marvin was born, though it wasn't part of the initial sketches. The inspiration for a bed "soft as a cloud" had been jotted down on a sticky note at the desk; although its immediate implementation seemed perhaps too audacious, Piero Priori's charisma and vision encouraged architect Silvia Giannessi to reconsider the idea. She described it in detail — even if only in words — covering everything from its structure to its captivating design. The central idea? The creation of a contemporary version of *capitonné* upholstery, using a wooden panel with irregular perforations, allowing a durable thread to form soft, geometric lines. Thus, Marvin was born from a serendipitous intuition — sparked as the creator abstractly wrapped a string around a tissue box. It is a unique, original product that today symbolizes innovation and daring, ready to revolutionize the way we experience comfort.
